Available Now – Intel Core Series 3 on AAEON’s UP Series!

We are excited to share the official release of four new UP platforms powered by the new Intel® Core™ Series 3 platform (formerly Wildcat Lake), available in both developer board and Edge PC form. Built on an architecture combining up to 40 TOPS of AI performance with a low power E-core compute foundation, the UP WCL and UP Nexus WCL Series are designed to bring a truly unique blend of compute efficiency, AI performance, and flexible interfaces to solution builders.

Available as either a credit card-sized developer board or a Mini PC that can fit in the palm of your hand, the UP WCL and UP WCL Edge not only offer efficient, yet advanced Intel Core Series 3 performance, but provide greater headroom for memory-intensive AI inference at the edge with three times the memory capacity of its predecessors. 

By choosing the UP WCL, developers can take advantage of a wafer-based I²C, SPI, PWM, GPIO and UART interfaces in a form factor measuring just 85mm x 56mm, granting full freedom to either build from the ground up or to design around existing system architecture. Compact at just 95mm x 70mm x 42.3mm and with both DIN Rail & VESA mounting options, the UP WCL Edge is the ideal plug-and-play system for integrators that want to mount, connect, and deploy right away.

From the legacy of the UP Squared Pro comes the UP Nexus, offering faster, denser and more versatile connectivity than ever before. Both USB Type-A and Type-C ports offer USB 3.2 Gen 2 and USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 speeds alongside two 2.5GbE LAN and UP’s classic 40-pin GPIO to channel Intel® Core™ Series 3 power for demanding AI workloads at the edge.

Designed to act as an advanced foundation for custom embedded systems requiring high-speed interfaces, broad expansion, immersive displays, and serial connectivity, the UP Nexus WCL has everything needed in just a 4” x 4” form factor. Meanwhile, the UP Nexus WCL Edge standardizes these features in a deployment-ready Mini PC designed to bring projects to market faster, with the additional environmental robustness of a 12V to 24V power input range and -20°C to 60°C temperature tolerance.
